Why I do this work I have spent most of my career trying to understand why change is often harder than it should be. My work has moved through technology, strategy, product, operating models, leadership and organisational change. Across each, I kept seeing the same challenge: a sound strategy could lose momentum, capable teams could struggle, and leaders could understand exactly what needed to change yet find themselves returning to familiar ways of working. I became interested in what sits underneath the visible problem. How incentives, expectations, authority, fear, relationships and unwritten rules shape the way people behave. This became central to my organisational work and eventually led me to develop KLAR, a diagnostic architecture for understanding the conditions that influence whether change can take hold and last. Over time, I realised I was asking the same questions about people. We are shaped by our histories, relationships, expectations, ambitions and the roles we learn to play. We become very capable at functioning within them, often without recognising how much they influence our choices. That connection between the individual and the system became the foundation of my work. Why SkyKlar I believe clarity changes what becomes possible. For me, clarity is not about having every answer. It is about seeing ourselves and our circumstances with enough awareness to recognise what is influencing us, what still serves us, and where we have a choice. But insight alone is not change. We can understand ourselves deeply and continue responding in exactly the same way. Change happens when awareness moves into experience, practice and action. That is why my work moves through presence, reflection, recognition, clarity and action. With individuals, I work with the internal conditions influencing how we experience ourselves, our relationships and our decisions. With organisations, I look at the conditions influencing how people think, decide, collaborate and perform. These are deeply connected. Organisations are human systems, and humans are shaped by the systems around them. My background brings structure and diagnostic thinking to this work. My study of leadership, coaching, human behaviour and presence has taught me the value of knowing when analysis is useful, and when we need enough space to observe what analysis cannot reach. SkyKlar brings those perspectives together: strategic and human, reflective and practical, understanding and embodiment. Whether I am working with one person or an organisation, the question at the centre remains the same: What is shaping what we see today, and what becomes possible when we can see it clearly?
